Today's Gospel reading follows Jesus' appearance to Cleopas and his companion on the road to Emmaus. Jesus reminds the disciples of all they have experienced, and how he has fulfilled the prophecy of the Hebrew Scriptures. What's more, he calls them, and us now, to be witnesses to his life, death and resurrection. #easter
Today is the Second Sunday of Easter, and we hear again the Gospel reading commonly referred to as the story of "doubting Thomas". The best of us can doubt from time to time, and given the circumstances, Thomas' doubt can be understandable. But Thomas also teaches us to recognise Christ's presence among us and boldly proclaim our faith. #Easter
After having to observe Easter in our homes last year, it has been a deeply fulfilling experience to come together once again to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord. Happy Easter!
Last night we celebrated the Easter Vigil - the night of nights. Fr Denis invited us to look beyond the suffering and despair in the world, to see the hope and triumph of good made possible through the resurrection.
Today we Celebrated the Passion of the Lord. Fr Janu reminded us to think not what Jesus died of, but what he died for, and look to the Cross not only in our suffering and pain, but in joy and hope.
Last night we celebrated the Mass of the Lord's Supper, beginning the Easter Triduum. Fr Anthony reminded us of the mandate given to us all at the Last Supper - to celebrate the Eucharist, and to give our lives in loving service.
