At Church

Welcome. It’s great to have you join us at Our Lady of Mount Carmel.

Hearing Aid Loop

The church sound system includes a hearing aid loop. Sit in the main body of the church building, and switch your hearing aid to the ‘T’ position.

Toilets

Toilets can be found in the parish centre. Head towards the rear entry/exit, and you will find them along the corridor.

Baby Change Table

A baby change table is provided in the ladies/accessible toilet in the parish centre. Head towards the rear entry/exit, and you will find it along the corridor.

Where to Park?

For any of our Saturday evening and Sunday Masses, along with most of our special occasions, parking is available in the car park behind the church in Garfield Street, and in the school playground in Bennett Street.

Parking is also available in the streets surrounding the church.

As they are part of the school playground, our car parking areas are unavailable for use on school days.

Donating and Collections

At Sunday Masses, there are two collections we invite you to contribute to in support of our Carmelite priests and our parish community. We depend completely on the generosity of parishioners to exist and bring about the mission of Jesus in this place and time. Whatever financial contribution you can make to support our parish and its work is valuable and greatly appreciated.

Our two collections

The first collection (taken after the homily) goes to meet the living expenses of our Carmelite community. The second collection (taken after the Prayer of the Faithful) allows the parish to meet all our operational expenses.

Other (cashless) ways of donating

In the parish centre, near the doors into the church, you can find tap-and-go donation points (one $5, one $10). Donations are shared between the Carmelites and the parish.

You can also make a one-off or regular deposit to our parish bank account using your online banking app.
